The Sooners men's basketball team celebrated their senior day after falling to Baylor this Saturday at Lloyd Noble Center.
Three seniors played in their last home game as a Sooner and will graduate this May. The three include Ryan Wright, Beau Gerber and Tony Crocker.
All three forwards were introduced after the game by head coach Jeff Capel and given the microphone to speak to the crowd remaining in the stands.
Wright is a transfer player from UCLA who came to OU with hopes of playing more, which he accomplished. Gerber was formerly a walk on and was given a scholarship this year from Capel who said making Gerber a Sooner was "the best coaching decision of (his) career". Crocker is the lone remaining player of former head coach Kelvin Sampson's recruiting class before he left OU, causing all the prospects save Crocker to go to other schools.
"Our three seniors have meant so much to this program," Capel said. "Those three guys have had big-time contributions on University of Oklahoman men's basketball. We are going to miss them here, but we are now focusing our attention on the big 12 tournament and we are excited about playing next Wednesday."
